Ans.1)  Maximum number of x-intercepts are two. And minimum number of x-intercept is zero.

Number of x-intercepts depends up the nature of "Discriminant".

D=b2-4ac.

1) If D is positive then parabola has two intercepts.

2) If D is negative then parabola has no intercepts.

3) If D is zero then parabola has one intercept.
