Ans.1)  9x-8+4x=7x+16

9x+4x-8=7x+16

13x-8=7x+16

subtract 7x form both sides

13x-7x-8=7x-7x+16

6x-8=16

Add 8 to both sides

6x-8+8=16+8

6x=24

Divide both side by 6

6x/6=24/6

x=4

Ans.2)  9x+4x-7x=16+8

6x=24

x=4
