Q.)  Please help me solve this problem 5+8(X+2)=6(1+x)-1 and show me the steps in getting the answer

Ans.1)  5+8(X+2)=6(1+x)-1

Step1. 5+8x+16=6+6x-1 [a(b+c)=ab+ac]

Step2. 8x+21=6x+5

Step3. 8x+21-5=6x+5-5 (Subtract 5 from both sides)

Step4. 8x+16=6x

Step5. 8x+16-6x=6x-6x (Subtract 6x from both sides)

Step6. 2x+16=0

Step7.2x+16-16=0-16 (Subtract 16 from both sides)

Step8. 2x=-16

Step9. 2x/2=-16/2 (divide both sides by 2)

X=-8 Answer

Ans.2)  5+8x+16=6+6x-1

8x+21=5+6x

8x-6x=-21+5=-16

2x=-16

x=-8
