Q.)  John is going to make three kinds of cookies. he will need 2 1/3  cups of flour for the first kind 2 1/4  cups flour for the second kind, and 3 1/3 cups flour for the third kind. how much flour does john need for all three kinds of cookies?

Ans.1)  Total flour= flour for first kind of cookie + flour for second kind of cookie + flour for third kind of cookie

Total flour=(2/3+ 2/4 + 3/3) cups

LCM of all denominators (3, 4, and 3)=12

Total flour=(8+6+12)/12 cups

Total flour=26/12 cups

Total flour=13/6 cups
