Ans.1)  Step -1 Let the original price of the jacket is X

Step-2 Jacket bought on 10% discount so discount = X*10/100

Step-3 Final price of the jacket after a 10% discount = Original price - Discount

                                                                        =X - (X*10 /100) =(100x -x)/100 =99x/100

Step-4 but according to question Final Price is $288

Step-5 So Step-3 and step-4 must be equal

                  $288 =99X/100

Step-6 multiply by 100 in both sides  $288*100 =99x/100*100

Step-7 $28800= 99x

Step-8 Divide by 99 in both sides so X= $28800/99

Step-9 So X = $290.90

Step-10 The original price will be $290.90
