Ans.1)  The rate of  chemical reactions differ from one another because some reactions involve making or breaking of bonds, while some reactions  involve only loss or gain of electrons( e.g. oxidation and reduction reaction ) or change in  some internal motions.

The reactions in which making or breaking involvs are slower than those reactions in which only loss or gain of electrons are involved.
