Q.)  Why s-orbital is spherical in shape?

Ans.1)  In S-orbital , the Subsidary quantum no or the Azimuthal quantum no which is responsible for shape of the orbital is zero. It means that in S orbital there is only one orientation. 

 

So S orbital is spherical in shape.
